Yes, Donkey riding got a mention and the Navvies. The Bagpuss episode was delightful, the ship in a bottle and all the mice singing as they clean it. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m000wn0f

It's so sad that the joy has been taken away - all in the name of profit and that dreadful phrase "you can't manage what you can't measure"

Growing up in the US in the 70s, I didn't have access to the specific programs you mention, but I recognize the type of show, and the prevalence of arts education for everyone. I feel so lucky to have been a child in school in that era. We got music, we got art, we got to do creative writing. In my very ordinary public school, orchestra was an option for any child, starting in 4th grade! That is not the case now. Even though there's a hefty base of research to show that arts education benefits learning in the core subjects, we don't invest in it. Not to mention that arts education, like you say, is just good for us. It makes us happy. It sure made me like school. My best memories from those years were full of creative play and exploration. I could go on (and on and on), but I'll just wrap this up with: YES, to all of this.

O great, I wonder which ones he’ll mention. It was such fun.

Donkey riding, donkey riding,

Hey ho! away we go

Riding on a donkey.

In the 70’s I was a young Mum and part time teacher. Bagpuss, Noggin the Nog,so many wonderful children’s programmes then. Did you do Singing Together? A good old singsong of songs from all over the world. I still have some of the pamphlets. I recorded Bagpuss the other evening, I loved him too.

I'm sure I must have done. I mostly remember bashing chime bars with gusto.

I've just found this link https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/b04stc6c?partner=uk.co.bbc&origin=share-mobile
