Letters from Japan - an interim note
As with every trip, my health has got the better of me this week
Travelling with a chronic illness is weird - I build in days to stay in the accommodation whilst S. goes out an about. We’re so used to it that it’s second nature. People find it odd, that I still go on adventures even though I know some days will be lost to M.E.. For me it’s better to lose them than never go at all.
This has been a rough week health-wise and rather than rush my next letter I’m postponing to next week. In the meantime here are some of my favourite photos of Kanazawa, which is where we’re headed next. Hope to see you then!
Until next time

I can empathize to how medical conditions can interrupt your life, so I'm glad to hear even though you have an illness that you're still out here living life to its fullest! Japan looks like a beautiful place; I'd love to go there someday. I hope you feel better and enjoy your trip! :)
My dearest has Crohn’s and we’ve learned very much to build in days of rest. Even if that is an afternoon sat on his phone, it’s still rest. Otherwise he’ll be ruined at the end of a holiday. He’s anxious to travel to places further away because of it but we’re getting there. I hope you enjoy your rest and feel better soon.
