Very interesting! I'm quite unfamiliar with Japanese culture, so this was an interesting read! Furthermore, applying such a concept to authenticity in writing was clever! Well done!

Thanks Bethel, I found it really useful to do and it's given me a different approach to my own work whether it's poetry or content for clients. It's made me more conscientious I think. Japan is an extraordinary country - we live in such a homogenised world I think which means it's rare to find somewhere that is truly unique. Japan is that place. I'm enjoying revisiting it - so glad you're enjoying reading!

What a lovely concept! I love editing and think a lot about what the reader will take from it - sometimes I have to pare it back a little too, so they reach their own conclusions rather than trying to force it! This is a lovely way of looking at it.

Thank you Bonnie! It took me a while to really love editing. I have a very loud inner critic and I think editing felt like a real battle. I feel so differently about it now and this approach really does click for me.

I agree - the first time I tried editing I was completely overwhelmed. Now it’s my favourite part and I tend to think of it in terms of layering everything up. This is a new way of thinking!
